The Spring Equinox at the Bohemian Cabin UPDATE

We just had Joe's 50th birthday party at the Bohemian Cabin! So much work...but ahhhh so much fun! I hired a gypsy flamenco guitaristo and we had an off the hook bohemian style bbq! We have been going pretty much non-stop since my last update here on my blog. The cabin is looking absolutely amazing and everything is in bloom in our outer world! The Bohemian feel is running rampant inside and out!!!! I JUST LOVE IT UP HERE! It is paradise! Here are some recent photos of a little bit of everything! I am really digging this journey! Thanks for sharing it with me!

Fall is almost here!!! The Bohermian Cabin Update~

HI ALL!!!
So many changes at the cabin. 2014 has been a year of great loss and great blessings. My beautiful sweet momma transitioned to higher ground in June after two months in the ICU. My biggest blessing was that I was able to spend time with her at the cabin on Easter weekend. She loved the progress we had made and she toured the cabin even though her legs were so damn swollen. She told me how proud she was of all that we had done and she LOVED everything!!! This is a weekend I will never ever forget because she was so excited to come up. All of her texts the week prior were full of enthusiasm and excitement. I love her more than life itself. I miss her terribly. In the PINES MOMMA......In the pines!! Here are some pictures of momma.

The cabin was put on the back burner for me for those few months. My priority was to be with my

momma. But Joe went up pretty much every weekend.

We had a party for my momma's birthday the first week of August. I had promised her a party when she was in the hospital. I followed through on my promise.

I find such peace at the Bohemian cabin. I feel my momma's presence there big time. Everything I do I feel her right beside me. Thank you my beauitful momma!

The status uspdate to the cabin goes like this:
Electrical -done!
Insulation- done!
The well is pumping and her name is Wella Raphaela!
We have an outdoor shower by the basement door!
We installed the porch lights and they look awesome! so nice to have lights outside!
The kitchen floor- done!!
Found a beautiful antique bed for the HydrAngel room! Thank you momma!!
Renovated the retro Superior RV that our neighbors Jay and Gloria gave us!

We are getting ready for fall and winter. The deer are everywhere and we have other magical creatures on the property.... like DonJuan.... the little fox!

Spring Transformation @ the Bohemian Cabin

Well here we are a little over five months and so much has been accomplished. We are still driving Astara up and sleeping in her.....but my brother and my son and grand daughter have all slept in the cabin. That is exciting!
So far we have accomplished the following:
The Propane tank is completely painted. I finished that in February.
The front of the cabin had been re-sided with cedar waney lap. Finished that in January.
The well and electrical trenches have been dug. Finished that in February.
New windows installed in the dining room and kitchen. Finished that in March.
The plumbing in the upstairs bathroom and the kitchen are complete. Finished in March.
The electrical wiring has been ran in the bedrooms. Finished that in February.
The bathroom is the only fully completed room. Toilet, bath, sink, and lights, walls, paint and floor!. We still need the electrical outlets wired...but it looks awesome!!
Harmony and I have created some garden areas around the property.
Joe finished the shed and it looks awesome! Completed in March.
The hearth has been started but still has a way to go!

Uncle tom brought up the 30 ft. travel trailer in January. That is another whole project!! But when we renovate that it will make a sweet little bungalow for guests.
